The Stooges apparently wanted to make this final feature film as a tribute to the TV kid show hosts around the country who aired the Three Stooges shorts on their programs. Yet, 'Outlaws' is still quite an entertaining comedy Western.
Produced and directed by Moe Howard's son-in-law Norman Maurer, 'The Outlaws Is Coming' is by no means the Three Stooges' greatest Western that honor is reserved for some of their earlier shorts such as 'Goofs and Saddles' (1937) and 'Punchy Cowpunchers' (1950).
